"Without swift and fitting consequences, we risk eroding public trust in our capacity to manage public funds effectively, with less and less funding available to deliver much-needed services to our people," Minister of Finance of South Africa, Enoch Godongwana said.

"During the meeting, steps to be taken to further consolidate the existing strong relations between Türkiye and the Republic of South Africa at bilateral and multilateral levels, as well as regional and global issues concerning the two countries, were discussed," Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications revealed.

The announcement was made during an event held on Tuesday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session attended by President Cyril Ramaphosa and other Heads of State in New York.

"I look forward to our discussions and encourage your candid views. I also look forward to welcoming all of the companies present here today to South Africa in November this year during the AGOA Forum," President Ramaphosa said.

The State House of Nigeria's official website shared details of the meeting, revealing that both leaders discussed economic development in African countries.

President Cyril Ramaphosa pointed out that "commitment to maintain peace" within the country and with neighbors and "preventing tribalism and ethnic chauvinism from sowing discord" between the groups is one of the most remarkable aspects of South African society today.

Following the permanent membership announcement held on Saturday in New Delhi, the African Union and European Union share the same status in the G20 panel, which consists of 19 countries and the European Union.

"The President will also on the margins of the G20 have bilateral meetings with Heads of State and Government to strengthen South Africa's diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties," the presidency announced.

"In the design of our democratic unitary state, we introduced cooperative governance to ensure that the three spheres of government worked together to meet the needs of the people," President Ramaphosa said.

The government is all set to upgrade or redevelop six entry ports including Beitbridge - Zimbabwe, Lebombo - Mozambique, Maseru Bridge – Lesotho, Ficksburg - Lesotho, Kopfontein - Botswana, and Oshoek - Eswatini.

South Africa gained a huge benefit from a rise in investments in machinery and equipment including products related to renewable energy, as per government agency, Statistics South Africa.

"The total South African trade with other BRICS countries reached R830 billion in 2022, which represents an increase of more than 70% from R487 billion in 2017," President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa said.

The MoU was signed in line with the Tourism Sector Recovery Plan, which is vital for South Africa's Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic that negatively impacted the tourism sector.

"The panel found that there was no evidence to support the claim that the ship transported weapons from South Africa destined for Russia," President Ramaphosa said.

"The Commission has noted the 'rocket and feather' effect, where prices are quick to rise often in excess of cost increases and slow to fall once cost pressures decline. It has also flagged the concentrated nature of the food and retail markets as a concerning contributing factor," Minister in the Presidency of South Africa, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said.

"We've agreed that we will look into the issues that they have raised. But a commitment to move forward to complete the peace process and have the election is agreed to," Deputy President Paul Mashatile said.

"Current global forecasts indicate a great deal of uncertainty for the typical drier conditions that South Africa experiences during an El Niño," the South African Weather Service (SAWS) said.

The meeting was attended by all BRICS members, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, alongside newly invited members--Ethiopia and Egypt.

"The micro-economic activities at the Germiston station clearly demonstrate the role of intermodal facilities in providing transport solutions, convenience, accessibility, and economic opportunities," Minister of Transport of South Africa, Sindisiwe Chikunga said.

"The rationale for entering with the Chinese in this regard is because they are a dominant player in the renewable energy space. They have 688 gigawatts of installed capacity of renewables, a combination of PV and wind," Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said.
